Quilting Retreats

Trinity Pines Retreat

March 17-20 2014

It's retreat time!  We have scheduled our springl retreat at Trinity Pines in Cascade.  For those of you who haven't had a chance to join us at Trinity Pines, you are in for a real treat!  The large conference center that we use sets on top of a beautiful mountain overlooking the river.  We sleep in very nice cottages just down the path from the conference center and all the meals are prepared for us so we just sew, sew, sew!

COST:  $180.00 (includes lodging of 3 nights & 4 days, plus 7 meals).  A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.

A great place for UFO's! As always, you're welcome to bring those Unfinished Objects to work on if the classes are not of interest.

FEATURED CLASSES:

Scrappy Hunter's Star: Love that classic Hunter's Star but not all the work?  Traditionally achieved with template piecing, now you can make this quilt even faster using a new ruler by Studio 180 Design.  You can make 2 colr, 3 color, or scrappy hunter stars.

Teacher: Rena Hastings

Wedge Ruler Projects: Do you have a 9 degree or 10 degree wedge ruler and don't know how to use it?  Last fall at our retreat MaryKay was working on "Wheel of Scraps" using a 9 degree ruler.  Several ladies requested she teach this in the Spring Retreat.  Wheel of scraps can be done as a 55" quilt, or as a table topper that can be custom sized.

Alternate projects are Hopi Sun from the original "Quilts without Corners", Woven Baskets or Windmill Swirl.

Teacher: Mary Kay Jones
