These adorable snow men will keep you warm all winter long.

Snowday

Starting January 8th
This small, rural community awoke to a blanket of new fallen
snow... it's a Snow Day!!! The sledding hill is buzzing with activity,
but the farms and forests are quiet and still. The embroidery is
easy, using only one color of variegated floss... the piecing is deceptively
simple with four blocks made in different sizes. Pattern

Tonga Batik

We just can’t get enough of those wonderful Timeless Treasures batiks.
This is a brand new block of the month, so new we don’t have all the
details yet!

12 month program; finished size: Queen
Cost: Approx. $20.00—25.00 per month for kit (kit price includes the
fabric and patterns for finishing the quilt top & binding).

Eleanor Burns “Block Party”

3rd Sat. of each month
10:30 am –4:30 pm
Starting January 22
What is more fun than making one quilt? How about two , three, or
more — All at the same time! We’ll use Eleanor Burns’ quick piecing
techniques and rulers to create a variety of quilts using jelly rolls, layer
cakes, honey buns, and turnovers. Or use up some of the “stash” by
cutting your own strips, squares and triangles!! Bring your lunch and
spend the day sewing.

12 month program; finished size: Varies by project
Cost: $10.00 per month includes pattern (kits available or bring your
own stash)

 

Classes

Class Registration:
Classroom space is limited, so please sign up early. A supply list will be available when you pay for the class and reserve your place.
We reserve the right to cancel any class four days prior, if there isn’t enough to fill the class. Class participants will receive a 15% discount off class supplies and purchases the day of class. (Block of the Month kits not included)

UFO Day

Our most popular class! Bring those unfinished projects and see how much you can accomplish while enjoying a beautiful day in the mountains quilting with friends. Space is limited so sign up early. You sew and we’ll bring in lunch.
Tuesday-January 11: 11 am—4 pm Thursday-February 3: 11 am—4 pm Thursday-February 24: 11 am—4 pm

Intuitive Color & Design

Working with solids, you will focus on color and explore quilt design with gentle curves and
lines without using rulers and measurements. Students will work through several of the exercises in Jean Wells’ book Intuitive Color and Design, practice Jean’s techniques and design their own unique art quilt.

Power Serge

Bring your serger and your lunch & join Mary Kay for a day of serging. Share your tips and tricks, and learn from others.

Back to Basics

This series is intended as a follow-up to “Kindergarten Quilting” but would also be good for advanced beginners who may not be experienced in these particular blocks or quilts and feel the need to get “Back to Basics” with their piecing skills. Participants need to be comfortable with rotary cutting and stitching an accurate ¼” seam allowance.
Sign up for one or all three in the series.

Cotton Theory

Learn to use a variety of threads in the bobbin of your machine to create unique effects.

Moebius Scarf

Knit this lovely neck warmer based on the mathematical infinite loop on one circular needle.

Folded Log Cabin

Make log cabin and court house step blocks using a foundation fabric and 1 1/2” strips of folded fabric. Every block is different . These quilts make wonderful wall quilts, table toppers, art quilts etc.

Art Quilt Support Group

Would you like to add some Art to your quilts but don’t know how? Or, would you like to add
some quilting to your Art? This is not a class in the traditional sense, but a gathering of quilt artists who will teach, learn, and inspire each other. Quilters and artists of all levels are welcome — No experience necessary.
No class fee; some supplies will be required.
Third Wednesday of each month: January 19, February 16, March 16 1:30-4:30pm

Kindergarten Quilting
— a beginning quilting class

Winter is a wonderful time to keep warm by the fire and learn the
basics of quilting. You will learn all the basic skills needed to make a quilt. The class project will be a small simple table topper. If you’re
